Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've always wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of any object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop that we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas you don't wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.
The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that resembles toys rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System is also self-emptying which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it around the floor. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't accomplish this feat. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
The j7+, though not as intelligent as the Roomba S9 for $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and can't clean the stairs, is a good option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's difficult to know whether the update is working until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the ideal choice. This kind of robot usually includes a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes down to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums often fall short. The Q5+'s navigation is excellent, with few misses along walls and in corners.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device, or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed emptying the bin can be accomplished without difficulty. It also comes with an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for most people however it can help you easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded mop and vacuum. Full Record of mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.
It's a tiny base station that looks great and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station's biggest selling point is how it automates numerous tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tried that does an excellent job of collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
While it doesn't offer as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the price tag.
But if you want to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many other great choices on the market, including a lot of eufy models priced considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive, but offers many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up, just attach one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then connect your charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It can be placed under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, with sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Clean (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The primary feature that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to draw an image of the immovable items that are in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.
The elegant G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require more emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky material such as cereal.
